Send us your dialer IPs

Request a test account and list the public IP address of each Vicidial server.

Add the carrier

In the Vicidial admin, add a carrier with the account entry, globals and dialplan entry below.

Test, then tune

Place test calls, check answer rate and delay, then set your campaign dial settings.

Carrier configuration

Add VoIP Kart as a Vicidial carrier

In the admin, go to Admin, Carriers, Add a new carrier. Replace YOUR_SIP_HOST with the endpoint from your welcome email. Treat these as starting points and adjust them for your server version and security policy.

Account entry

[voipkart]
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
allow=alaw
type=friend
host=YOUR_SIP_HOST
dtmfmode=rfc2833
qualify=yes
nat=no
canreinvite=no
insecure=port,invite
context=trunkinbound

Globals string

VOIPKART = SIP/voipkart

The variable name is used in the dialplan entry.

Dialplan entry

exten => _9X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _9X.,2,Dial(${VOIPKART}/${EXTEN:1},,tTo)
exten => _9X.,3,Hangup

Match the pattern to your dial prefix. Send the destination in E.164 format without the leading +.

Auto dial levelStart low, around 1.5, and raise gradually as agents fill
Adaptive dropped percentage limitAt or below the legal limit for the market you dial
Dial timeoutAround 26 to 30 seconds
Dial prefixMust match the prefix in your carrier dialplan entry

Troubleshooting

If calls do not connect

403 or no response

Your server IP is probably not on the allow-list. Send us your current public IP.

Calls fail instantly

Check the dial prefix, the dialplan pattern and that the number is in E.164 format.

One-way or no audio

Check NAT, firewall and RTP port range, and that both sides share a codec.

FAQ

Vicidial questions

Does VoIP Kart work with Vicidial?

Yes. Vicidial is built on Asterisk and connects to any standards-based SIP carrier. Add VoIP Kart as a carrier in the Vicidial admin and point your campaigns at it.

Which codec should I use with Vicidial?

G.711 (ulaw or alaw) works out of the box on a standard Vicidial install. G.729 saves bandwidth but needs a codec licensed and installed on your dialer servers.

How do I get my IP allow-listed?

Send us your dialer server public IP addresses with your test account request. Each server that places calls needs to be allow-listed.

What drop rate should I use?

Set the adaptive drop limit at or below the legal limit for each market you dial. See our compliance page for the key rules by country.

Can I run several Vicidial servers?

Yes. Allow-list each server IP and we can set channel and call-rate limits to match your cluster capacity.
